Live jazz in Grand Junction & Palisade

Cocktail jazz for wine country and the Grand Valley.

Jazz for the Grand Valley

Standard Alchemy brings live cocktail jazz to Grand Junction, Palisade and Fruita: winery tastings and harvest events, restaurant music nights, weddings, country club dinners and private parties. We’re based in Montrose, about an hour up the road.

Made for wine country

Trumpet and guitar is an easy match for a winery patio or tasting room: swing and bossa nova at a level that lets people talk, with enough spark to make an afternoon feel like an event. For restaurants we play dinner-service sets built to suit the room, not dominate it.

A few of the tunes we play:

  • Fly Me to the Moon
  • The Way You Look Tonight
  • All of Me
  • Moon River
  • The Girl from Ipanema
  • Cheek to Cheek
  • What a Wonderful World
  • Misty
  • Autumn Leaves
  • Days of Wine and Roses
  • Blue Bossa
  • Route 66

Sized to the room

  • Jazz duo — trumpet and guitar. Small footprint, easy on the room, ideal for ceremonies, dinners and wine bars.
  • Jazz trio — add bass for a fuller sound at a reception or a larger party.
  • Jazz quartet — trumpet, guitar, bass and drums when you want the room to swing.
  • Vocals — instrumental, or with male and/or female vocals, including guest vocalist Polly Kroger.

Weddings and private events

We play ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions across the valley. See our wedding music page for how we cover the day, or our holiday and corporate events page for office parties and client dinners.

Venues: let’s talk about a regular night

If you run a winery, restaurant or bar in the Grand Valley and want live jazz on a regular schedule, get in touch. Our weekly Sunday afternoons at Chloe’s in Ridgway show what a standing jazz night can do for a room.
